Announcing The First Ever TotalBeauty.com Beauty Awards
The first annual TotalBeauty.com beauty awards will be announced this March and voting will end on January 15.

The winning products will be awarded based on input from consumers and our editors. Here's how it will work. First, we'll start by gathering up the products our readers have rated highest on TotalBeauty.com. (This spans all beauty product categories -- everything from face cleansers to blow dryers.) Then, our editors will select the winners from the readers' top-rated products.

In order for your brand or product to be considered, make sure it meets these two criteria:

1. It must appear in Total Beauty's "product reviews" section. (Go to TotalBeauty.com and click the "Product Reviews" tab to find it.) If you don't see it there, please reach out to intern@totalbeauty.com with the product information and a jpeg and we'll be sure to add it.

2. It must have a competitive number of honest, well-informed ratings and reviews from customers who've tried your product. You can encourage your consumers to write reviews, so your products will be in contention for an award. Some brands send e-newsletters to their subscribers, with a link to their product pages on TotalBeauty.com, encouraging them to go post reviews. Others use Facebook, Twitter, or their brands' Web sites to encourage reviews. It's up to you.

Of course, Total Beauty is known for its honest, unbiased opinions. So we monitor reviews for spam/fake reviews, and check IPs and other technical clues to make sure reviews are coming from varied consumers who are real people.
